What you’ll be doing:

You’ll manage and optimise day-to-day remittance operations, ensuring transactions are accurate, secure, and timely. A key part of the role is onboarding new remittance partners and business clients, including conducting due diligence, reviewing ASIC extracts, and verifying all documentation to meet compliance standards. You will oversee regulatory compliance across AML/CTF obligations, AUSTRAC reporting, and international remittance regulations, while managing float accounts, monitoring balances, and reconciling funds to maintain operational efficiency and liquidity. You will identify process improvements, manage risk and fraud, liaise with banking partners and payment providers, and support customer service by resolving escalations and enhancing the client experience. Additionally, you will track KPIs, generate reports, and provide insights to senior management to inform strategic decisions.

What you’ll need

  • 2+ years’ experience in operations management, ideally within fintech, remittance, or related financial services
  • Hands-on experience managing partner or business onboarding and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing float accounts, cash flow, or transactional funds within a payments or remittance environment
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams
  • Exceptional organisational, analytical, and time management abilities
  • High computer literacy, including reviewing ASIC extracts, corporate documents, and financial compliance records
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Results-driven, adaptable, and comfortable managing shifting operational priorities in a start-up environment
